Spathodea campanulata
Spathodea campanulata, commonly known as the African tulip tree, is a tropical tree native to West Africa. It can grow up to 25 meters tall and features large, glossy leaves that can reach up to 30 centimeters in length. The tree is known for its striking orange-red flowers, which bloom in clusters and attract various pollinators, including hummingbirds and bees.
This species thrives in warm, humid climates and is often planted in parks and gardens for its ornamental value. The African tulip tree prefers well-drained soil and can tolerate drought conditions once established. However, it can become invasive in some regions outside its native habitat.
