African Tulip Tree
The African Tulip Tree, scientifically known as Spathodea campanulata, is a tropical tree native to West Africa. It is recognized for its striking orange-red flowers that bloom in large clusters, attracting various pollinators, including birds and bees. The tree can grow up to 25 meters tall and features large, glossy leaves that provide ample shade.
This tree thrives in warm climates and is often used in landscaping for its ornamental value. It prefers well-drained soil and can tolerate drought conditions once established. However, in some regions, the African Tulip Tree is considered invasive, outcompeting local flora.
