Spanish fir
The Spanish fir (Abies pinsapo) is a coniferous tree native to the mountainous regions of southern Spain and Morocco. It typically grows between 15 to 30 meters tall and is known for its distinctive, spiky needles that are dark green on top and silver underneath. The tree produces cylindrical cones that can reach up to 10 centimeters in length.
This species thrives in cool, moist climates and is often found in rocky, mountainous areas. The Spanish fir is valued for its ornamental qualities and is sometimes used in reforestation efforts. Its wood is also utilized in construction and furniture making.
