Spanish Congress
The Spanish Congress, officially known as the Congreso de los Diputados, is the lower house of the Cortes Generales, Spain's national legislature. It is responsible for making laws, approving budgets, and overseeing the government. Members, called diputados, are elected every four years through a proportional representation system.
The Congress has 350 members who represent various political parties from across Spain. It plays a crucial role in the democratic process, as it debates and votes on proposed legislation. The President of the Congress leads the sessions and ensures that parliamentary rules are followed.
