Soyuz 28
Soyuz 28 was a crewed space mission launched on March 2, 1978, as part of the Soyuz program. It marked the first time a Czechoslovak cosmonaut, Vladimír Remek, flew into space. The mission aimed to conduct scientific research aboard the Salyut 7 space station.
The spacecraft carried a crew of two, including commander Georgi M. Grechko and flight engineer Remek. They spent nearly eight days in orbit, conducting experiments and engaging in international cooperation in space exploration. The mission successfully demonstrated the capabilities of the Soyuz spacecraft and contributed to the understanding of long-duration spaceflight.
