Southern Zazaki
Southern Zazaki is a dialect of the Zaza language, primarily spoken in eastern Turkey. It is part of the Iranian languages and is used by the Zaza people, who have a rich cultural heritage. Southern Zazaki is distinct from Northern Zazaki, with variations in vocabulary and pronunciation.
The dialect is mainly found in the provinces of Tunceli, Elazığ, and Diyarbakır. While it has a significant number of speakers, Southern Zazaki faces challenges due to the dominance of Turkish in education and media. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language among younger generations.
