Soto School
Soto School is a branch of Zen Buddhism that emphasizes the practice of meditation, known as zazen. Founded in Japan, it focuses on the direct experience of reality through sitting meditation and mindfulness. Soto practitioners believe that enlightenment can be found in everyday activities and that the practice itself is a path to understanding.
The school was established by Dogen Zenji in the 13th century and has since spread globally. Soto teachings encourage a simple, natural approach to life, promoting awareness and presence in each moment. This makes it accessible to people from various backgrounds seeking spiritual growth.
