Sora language
The Sora language is a member of the Munda languages, which are part of the larger Austroasiatic language family. It is primarily spoken by the Sora people in the eastern part of India, particularly in the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The language has its own unique script, known as the Sora Sompeng, which was developed to promote literacy among its speakers.
Sora is an endangered language, with a declining number of fluent speakers due to the influence of dominant languages like Telugu and Odia. Efforts are being made to preserve and revitalize the language through educational programs and community initiatives, aiming to maintain the cultural heritage of the Sora community.
