Sophie Charlotte of Hanover
Sophie Charlotte of Hanover was born on September 30, 1668, in Hanover, Germany. She was the daughter of Ernest Augustus, Elector of Hanover, and Sophia of the Palatinate. In 1700, she married Frederick I of Prussia, becoming the first Queen of Prussia.
Sophie Charlotte was known for her intelligence and cultural contributions. She established the Berlin Academy of Sciences and was a patron of the arts, fostering a vibrant intellectual environment.
