Frederick I of Prussia
Frederick I of Prussia, born in 1657, was the first King in Prussia, reigning from 1701 until his death in 1713. He was originally the Elector of Brandenburg and played a significant role in elevating the status of the Brandenburg-Prussia state. His reign marked the transition from an electorate to a kingdom, establishing a foundation for the future Kingdom of Prussia.
Frederick I was known for his patronage of the arts and education, promoting cultural development in his realm. He also focused on strengthening the military and centralizing power, which helped to lay the groundwork for the later expansion of Prussia under his successors.
