Sophia of Denmark
Sophia of Denmark was a Danish princess born on July 28, 1557. She was the daughter of King Frederick II of Denmark and Queen Sophie of Denmark. Sophia became known for her intelligence and strong character, and she played a significant role in the royal court during her lifetime.
In 1572, Sophia married Duke Ulrich of Schleswig, which strengthened the ties between Denmark and the duchies. She had several children, including Christian IV of Denmark, who later became king. Sophia's legacy continues through her descendants, who are part of the current Danish royal family.
