Slip Resistance
Slip resistance refers to the ability of a surface to prevent slipping when walked on. It is an important safety feature in various environments, such as homes, offices, and public spaces. Surfaces with high slip resistance help reduce the risk of falls, especially in areas that may become wet or oily.
The slip resistance of a surface is often measured using a coefficient of friction (COF) test. A higher COF indicates better slip resistance. Common materials with good slip resistance include rubber, textured tiles, and non-slip vinyl, making them ideal choices for flooring in high-traffic or wet areas.
