Sleater-Kinney
Sleater-Kinney is an American rock band formed in 1994 in Olympia, Washington. The group consists of members Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker, and Janet Weiss. Known for their energetic sound and feminist themes, they are often associated with the riot grrrl movement, which emerged in the early 1990s.
The band's music blends punk rock and indie rock, characterized by powerful guitar riffs and dynamic vocals. Sleater-Kinney has released several critically acclaimed albums, including Dig Me Out and The Woods. They went on hiatus in 2006 but reunited in 2015, continuing to influence new generations of musicians.
