Bikini Kill
Bikini Kill is an American punk rock band formed in 1990 in Olympia, Washington. The group is known for its feminist lyrics and energetic performances, playing a key role in the riot grrrl movement, which combined punk music with feminist activism. The band's lineup included lead vocalist Kathleen Hanna, guitarist Billy Karren, bassist Kathi Wilcox, and drummer Tobi Vail.
Their music often addresses issues such as gender inequality, sexual empowerment, and social justice. Bikini Kill's self-titled EP and their album Reject All American are considered influential works that helped shape the sound and message of the 1990s punk scene.
