Slavic tribes
The Slavic tribes were a group of ethnic communities that emerged in Eastern Europe during the early Middle Ages. They are believed to have originated from a common ancestral group in the region around the Carpathian Mountains. Over time, these tribes spread across a vast area, including parts of modern-day Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and the Balkans.
These tribes were primarily agricultural and engaged in trade, forming various social structures. By the 6th century, they began to establish more organized states, leading to the formation of significant political entities like the Kievan Rus. The Slavic tribes played a crucial role in shaping the cultural and linguistic landscape of Eastern Europe.
