Sir Muhammad Iqbal
Sir Muhammad Iqbal was a prominent philosopher, poet, and politician in British India, born on November 9, 1877. He is widely regarded as one of the most important figures in Urdu literature and is often referred to as the "Spiritual Father of Pakistan." Iqbal's poetry inspired the movement for the creation of Pakistan, emphasizing the need for a separate nation for Muslims in the subcontinent.
Iqbal studied in Europe, earning degrees from Cambridge University and Munich University. His works, including the famous poem "Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua Ban Ke Tamanna Meri," reflect his vision of self-discovery and empowerment. Iqbal passed away on April 21, 1938, but his legacy continues to influence literature and politics in Pakistan and beyond.
