Simon the Zealot
Simon the Zealot was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ. He is often identified by his title, which suggests he was a member of the Zealots, a political movement in first-century Judea that sought to resist Roman rule. Little is known about his life before joining the apostles, and he is mentioned in the lists of apostles in the New Testament.
In the Gospels, Simon is not a prominent figure, and his actions are not extensively documented. After the resurrection of Jesus, he is believed to have spread the Christian message, possibly in regions like Egypt or Britain. His feast day is celebrated on October 28 in the Western Christian tradition.
