Simeon II, born on June 16, 1937, is a Bulgarian politician and former monarch. He was the last reigning Tsar of Bulgaria, ruling from 1943 until the monarchy was abolished in 1946. After his exile, he lived in various countries before returning to Bulgaria in 1996. In 2001, Simeon II entered politics and founded the National Movement for Stability and Progress, which won the parliamentary elections.
