Sikh wedding
A Sikh wedding, known as Anand Karaj, is a beautiful ceremony that celebrates the union of two individuals in the presence of family and friends. The wedding typically takes place in a Gurdwara, a Sikh place of worship, where the couple takes vows in front of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism.
The ceremony includes several key rituals, such as the Lavan, where the couple circles the scripture four times, symbolizing their commitment to each other and their faith. The event is often followed by a festive reception, featuring traditional Punjabi music, dance, and a communal meal called Langar.
