Sikh Wedding
A Sikh wedding, known as Anand Karaj, is a beautiful ceremony that celebrates the union of two individuals in the presence of family and friends. The ceremony typically takes place in a Gurdwara, where the couple sits before the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism. The couple takes four rounds around the scripture, symbolizing their commitment to each other and their faith.
The wedding is filled with vibrant traditions, including the Milni ceremony, where families meet and exchange greetings. Festivities often include music, dance, and a communal meal called Langar, emphasizing the values of community and equality in Sikh culture.
