Sikh Hymns
Sikh hymns, known as Shabads, are sacred verses composed in the Gurmukhi script. They are primarily found in the Guru Granth Sahib, the central religious scripture of Sikhism. These hymns express spiritual teachings, devotion, and the oneness of God, often emphasizing love, equality, and community service.
The hymns are typically sung in a musical format during Sikh worship services, known as Kirtan. This practice not only enhances the spiritual experience but also helps convey the profound messages contained within the hymns. Sikh hymns play a vital role in the daily lives of Sikhs, guiding their beliefs and practices.
