Sika Deer
The Sika Deer is a medium-sized deer native to East Asia, particularly found in countries like Japan, China, and Korea. They are known for their distinctive spotted coat, which varies in color from reddish-brown in summer to grayish-brown in winter. Males, called stags, have antlers that can grow up to 90 centimeters long.
Sika Deer are social animals, often found in small herds. They primarily feed on grasses, leaves, and shrubs. Their vocalizations, including barks and whistles, help them communicate with each other. Due to habitat loss and hunting, their populations are declining in some areas, leading to conservation efforts.
