Shikoku Region
The Shikoku Region is one of Japan's four main islands, located to the south of the main island of Honshu. It is known for its beautiful landscapes, including mountains, rivers, and coastlines. The region is also famous for its Shikoku Pilgrimage, a route that connects 88 Buddhist temples, attracting many pilgrims and tourists each year.
Shikoku is divided into four prefectures: Ehime, Kagawa, Kochi, and Tokushima. Each prefecture has its own unique culture and attractions, such as the Udon noodles of Kagawa and the natural beauty of the Iya Valley in Tokushima. The region is less populated than other parts of Japan, offering a more tranquil experience.
