Shakespeare's First Folio
Shakespeare's First Folio is a collection of 36 plays written by William Shakespeare, published in 1623. It is the first collected edition of his works and was printed seven years after his death. The First Folio includes famous plays such as Hamlet, Macbeth, and The Tempest, many of which had not been published before.
The First Folio was compiled by John Heminges and Henry Condell, two of Shakespeare's friends and fellow actors. It is considered one of the most important books in English literature, preserving nearly half of Shakespeare's plays that might have otherwise been lost.
