Sesriem
Sesriem is a small settlement located in Namibia, near the entrance to the Namib-Naukluft National Park. It serves as a gateway for visitors exploring the stunning landscapes of the Namib Desert, including the famous Sossusvlei and Deadvlei areas, known for their towering red sand dunes.
The name "Sesriem" comes from the Afrikaans word meaning "six belts," referring to the six belts that early explorers used to draw water from the nearby Tsauchab River.
