Serrano People
The Serrano People are a Native American group originally from the San Bernardino Mountains and surrounding areas in Southern California. They are part of the larger Uto-Aztecan language family and traditionally spoke the Serrano language. Their culture included hunting, gathering, and trading with neighboring tribes.
Historically, the Serrano People lived in small, semi-nomadic communities, utilizing the diverse resources of their mountainous environment. They crafted tools and baskets, and their social structure was organized around family groups. Today, efforts are being made to preserve their cultural heritage and language, which are vital to their identity.
