Serrano language
The Serrano language is a Native American language that belongs to the Uto-Aztecan language family. It was traditionally spoken by the Serrano people, who are indigenous to the San Bernardino Mountains and surrounding areas in Southern California. The language is considered endangered, with very few fluent speakers remaining today.
Efforts have been made to revitalize the Serrano language through educational programs and community initiatives. These efforts aim to preserve the language and culture of the Serrano people, ensuring that future generations can connect with their heritage and linguistic history.
