Sergey Mikhalkov
Sergey Mikhalkov was a prominent Russian poet and writer, born on March 13, 1913, in Moscow. He is best known for his children's literature and for writing the lyrics to the national anthem of the Soviet Union and later the Russian Federation. Mikhalkov's work often reflected themes of patriotism and the importance of family.
Throughout his career, Mikhalkov received numerous awards, including the State Prize of the Russian Federation. He was also a member of the Soviet Writers' Union and played a significant role in promoting literature in the Soviet era. Mikhalkov passed away on August 27, 2022.
