Sengu Tree
The Sengu Tree, also known as the African Baobab, is a large, iconic tree native to Africa. It is recognized for its distinctive, thick trunk and can live for thousands of years. The tree is often referred to as the "Tree of Life" due to its ability to store water and provide food, shelter, and medicine for various wildlife and human communities.
Sengu Trees can grow up to 30 meters tall and have a wide canopy that provides shade. Their fruit, known as monkey bread, is rich in vitamin C and is consumed by both animals and people. The tree's bark is also used in traditional crafts and textiles, making it an important resource in many cultures.
