Senate of the Czech Republic
The Senate of the Czech Republic is the upper chamber of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. It consists of 81 senators who are elected for six-year terms. The Senate's primary role is to review and amend legislation proposed by the lower chamber, known as the Chamber of Deputies.
Senators are elected through a two-round system in single-member districts. The Senate also has the authority to approve or reject presidential appointments and can participate in the constitutional amendment process. This body plays a crucial role in the legislative process and the overall governance of the country.
