Seleucus III
Seleucus III was a king of the Seleucid Empire, ruling from 225 to 223 BCE. He was the son of Antiochus II and Laodice I, and he ascended to the throne after the death of his brother, Antiochus III. His reign was marked by military campaigns, particularly against the Ptolemaic Kingdom in Egypt.
Despite his efforts, Seleucus III faced challenges, including internal strife and opposition from local rulers. His reign was short-lived, as he was assassinated during a military campaign in Asia Minor. Following his death, his brother, Antiochus III, succeeded him and continued the efforts to strengthen the empire.
