Seleka
Seleka is a coalition of rebel groups in the Central African Republic (CAR) that emerged in 2012. The group aimed to address grievances related to political exclusion and economic marginalization. In March 2013, Seleka seized the capital, Bangui, leading to the ousting of President François Bozizé.
Following their takeover, Seleka faced criticism for human rights abuses and violence against civilians. In 2014, the coalition was officially disbanded, but its members continued to influence the political landscape in CAR. The situation has led to ongoing conflict and instability, prompting international attention and intervention.
