Second Avenue Subway
The Second Avenue Subway is a major transit project in New York City, designed to improve transportation on the Upper East Side. It is part of the New York City Subway system and aims to alleviate congestion on the Lexington Avenue Line. The first phase, which opened in January 2017, includes three new stations: 96th Street, 86th Street, and 72nd Street.
The subway line runs along Second Avenue and is expected to enhance access to various neighborhoods and reduce travel times. Future phases are planned to extend the line further south and north, providing even more connectivity for residents and visitors.
