Sea Cow
The term "Sea Cow" commonly refers to the manatee, a large marine mammal found in warm coastal waters and rivers. Manatees are herbivores, primarily feeding on seagrass and aquatic plants. They can grow up to 13 feet long and weigh over 1,000 pounds.
Another creature sometimes called a sea cow is the dugong, which is similar in appearance to the manatee but has a more dolphin-like tail. Dugongs are also herbivorous and inhabit warm coastal waters, primarily in the Indian and western Pacific Oceans. Both species are known for their gentle nature and are considered vulnerable due to habitat loss and hunting.
