Scythes
A scythe is a hand-held agricultural tool used for cutting grass or grain. It consists of a long, curved blade attached to a wooden handle, known as a snath. The design allows the user to swing the blade in a sweeping motion, making it efficient for harvesting crops in fields.
Scythes have been used for centuries, dating back to ancient civilizations. They are often associated with rural farming and traditional harvesting techniques. While modern machinery has largely replaced scythes in agriculture, they are still used in some areas for small-scale farming and are also popular in gardening and landscaping.
