Scutum Constellation
The Scutum Constellation is a small constellation located in the southern sky. It was created in the late 17th century by the astronomer Johann Bayer and is often depicted as a shield. Scutum is bordered by the constellations Serpens, Hercules, and Aquila.
Scutum contains several notable stars and deep-sky objects, including the Scutum Star Cluster (M11), which is one of the richest star clusters visible from Earth. The constellation is best viewed during the summer months in the northern hemisphere and is known for its distinctive shape and bright stars.
