Scottish League
The Scottish League, officially known as the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL), is the top professional football league in Scotland. It was formed in 2013 when the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League merged. The league consists of 12 teams that compete annually for the championship title.
Each season, teams play each other in a round-robin format, with points awarded for wins and draws. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. The league also features a promotion and relegation system with lower divisions, ensuring competitive balance within Scottish football.
