Scots pine
The Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) is a species of tree native to Europe and parts of Asia. It is characterized by its tall, straight trunk and long, slender needles that grow in pairs. The bark is orange-brown and becomes scaly as the tree matures. Scots pine is commonly found in forests and is valued for its timber, which is used in construction and furniture making.
This tree can grow up to 35 meters (115 feet) tall and can live for several hundred years. It thrives in a variety of soil types and is often planted for reforestation and erosion control. The Scots pine also provides habitat for various wildlife species.
