Scholastic Assessment Test
The Scholastic Assessment Test, commonly known as the SAT, is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. It assesses students' readiness for college by measuring skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. The test is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors.
The SAT consists of multiple-choice questions and an optional essay section. Scores range from 400 to 1600, combining results from the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections. Many colleges and universities consider SAT scores as part of their admissions process, alongside high school grades and other factors.
