Schinus molle
Schinus molle, commonly known as the Peruvian pepper tree, is a flowering plant native to South America. It belongs to the family Anacardiaceae and is characterized by its long, drooping branches and feathery, pinnate leaves. The tree can grow up to 15 meters tall and produces small, pinkish-red berries that are often used as a spice.
This tree is commonly found in dry, warm regions and is valued for its ornamental qualities and shade. However, Schinus molle can also be invasive in some areas, outcompeting native vegetation. Its berries are sometimes used in traditional medicine and culinary applications.
