Sattvic (Pure)
Sattvic, derived from the Sanskrit word "sattva," refers to a state of purity, harmony, and balance. In the context of Ayurveda and Yoga, it represents qualities that promote clarity, wisdom, and spiritual growth. Sattvic foods, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains, are believed to nourish the body and mind, fostering a sense of well-being.
In contrast to Rajasic (active) and Tamasic (inactive) qualities, Sattvic attributes encourage calmness and mental clarity. Practicing a Sattvic lifestyle can involve meditation, mindfulness, and consuming wholesome foods, all aimed at achieving inner peace and enlightenment.
