Sanskrit epics
Sanskrit epics are ancient Indian texts that tell grand stories of heroes, gods, and moral dilemmas. The two most famous epics are the Mahabharata and the Ramayana. These narratives explore themes of duty, righteousness, and the complexities of human relationships, often set against the backdrop of historical and mythological events.
The Mahabharata is the longest epic poem in the world, detailing the conflict between two families, the Pandavas and the Kauravas. The Ramayana focuses on the adventures of Lord Rama, his wife Sita, and his loyal companion Hanuman. Both epics have significantly influenced Indian culture, philosophy, and literature.
