Sand Rat
The Sand Rat, also known as the Jerboa, is a small rodent found primarily in desert regions of Africa and Asia. These animals are adapted to arid environments, featuring long hind legs that allow them to hop quickly across sandy terrain. Their large ears help dissipate heat, while their fur provides insulation against temperature extremes.
Sand Rats are nocturnal, meaning they are active at night when temperatures are cooler. They primarily feed on seeds, plants, and insects, using their strong front limbs to dig for food. Their unique adaptations make them well-suited for survival in harsh desert conditions.
