Desert Mouse
The Desert Mouse, also known as the Kangaroo Mouse, is a small rodent native to arid regions of North America. It has adapted to its harsh environment by being nocturnal, which helps it avoid the extreme daytime heat. This mouse primarily feeds on seeds and grains, storing food in its burrows for later use.
Desert Mice have specialized kidneys that allow them to conserve water, making them well-suited for life in dry habitats. Their fur is typically sandy or light brown, providing camouflage against the desert landscape. These adaptations enable them to thrive in environments where water is scarce.
