Samburu ostrich
The Samburu ostrich is a large flightless bird native to the arid regions of northern Kenya. It is a subspecies of the common ostrich, known for its long legs and neck, which help it run at high speeds. The male Samburu ostrich has striking black feathers, while the female is mostly brown, providing camouflage in their natural habitat.
These ostriches are social animals, often found in groups. They primarily feed on seeds, fruits, and insects, using their keen eyesight to spot food and predators. The Samburu ostrich plays a vital role in its ecosystem by helping to disperse seeds through its diet.
