Salva Dut
Salva Dut is a South Sudanese man known for his remarkable journey as a child refugee during the Second Sudanese Civil War. Born in 1984, he was separated from his family at a young age and spent years in refugee camps. His experiences inspired him to advocate for peace and education in South Sudan.
In 2001, Salva was resettled in the United States, where he later founded the organization Water for South Sudan. This nonprofit focuses on providing clean drinking water and improving sanitation in his home country, helping to transform the lives of many communities.
