Saiva Siddhanta
Saiva Siddhanta is a philosophical and theological system within Hinduism that focuses on the worship of Lord Shiva as the supreme deity. It emphasizes the relationship between the individual soul (or Atman) and the universal soul (or Shiva), advocating for the realization of one's true nature through devotion, knowledge, and grace.
The tradition is primarily practiced in southern India and is characterized by its unique texts, rituals, and community practices. Saiva Siddhanta teaches that liberation (or moksha) can be achieved through a combination of devotion, ethical living, and understanding of spiritual truths, ultimately leading to union with Shiva.
