Saint Vincent Ferrer
Saint Vincent Ferrer was a Spanish Dominican friar and preacher born in 1350. He is known for his powerful sermons and efforts to reform the Church during a time of crisis, particularly the Western Schism, when multiple claimants to the papacy existed. Vincent traveled extensively across Europe, spreading his message and converting many people to Christianity.
He was canonized as a saint by Pope Alexander VIII in 1657. Saint Vincent Ferrer is often depicted in art with a book and a bell, symbolizing his role as a preacher. His feast day is celebrated on April 5, honoring his contributions to the Church and his dedication to faith.
