Saint Maria de Mattias
Saint Maria de Mattias was an Italian nun and the founder of the Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ. Born on February 4, 1805, in Vallecorsa, Italy, she dedicated her life to serving God and helping the poor. She established her religious order in 1834, focusing on education and spiritual growth.
Throughout her life, Saint Maria de Mattias worked tirelessly to promote the importance of faith and community service. She passed away on August 20, 1866, and was canonized by Pope John Paul II on May 18, 2003, recognizing her contributions to the Church and society.
