Saint John Bosco
Saint John Bosco, also known as Don Bosco, was an Italian priest and educator born on August 16, 1815. He dedicated his life to the welfare of young people, particularly those from poor backgrounds. He founded the Salesian Society, which focuses on providing education and spiritual guidance to youth.
Bosco developed a unique educational approach known as the "Preventive System," emphasizing reason, religion, and loving-kindness. He established numerous schools, orphanages, and youth centers across Europe. Saint John Bosco was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church in 1934, and his feast day is celebrated on January 31.
